German Wirehaired Pointer - Medium - Senior - Female - Dog - Mut

Muttley is just a lovely active Senior Lady (who doesn't act herage). Very interactive - no shying away or acting skittish. She was enthusiastic, happy and seemed well-adjusted. She did a bit of jumping up to greet us but listened to the sit and stay command. I feel she would be "turnkey" in a home (when I asked her if she could sit on a couch, watch TV, and sleep in bed, Muttley said "YES!"). She has been exposed to cats with no excessive interest, is not a huge fan of guns, but is okay with fireworks, noises, lightening, etc. Will ride in the back seat of the truck - does not jump in but will put her front feet up and ask to be helped in - acceptable with an older dog. She doesn't jump fences (he has a 3 1/2 - 4 foot fence around the dog yard) and she is said to be housebroken. She is not yet spayed (that will be the cost of adoption, and must be done prior to rehoming). Muttley is outgoing and energetic - but not out-of-control like younger dogs are. While we were talking, she relaxed in the shade but as soon as she thought we were talking about her, she came back into the group of people and was happy to have the attention - she gave me lots of kisses! I think she would be thrilled with people to call her own. All in all, a really lovely dog! :) I think this girl has lots of energy and love to give to the lucky person that adopts her!NOTE: while Muttley is just fine with other dogs that she does not live with, she has showed jealousy towards another female on her own turf/home - SO probably needs to be rehomed where she is only female.
